Forensic Medical Examiners normally work on a part time or full time basis for the local police force or a medical company holding contracts with the police force. The forensic medical examiners provide expert advice on the various possible causes of death. They must have valid driver’s licenses, be qualified, preferably have membership of a medical defense organization, and must be willing to complete 24 hours of CME in the field annually.
